Richard A. Jacobson (b. 1959, Choiceland, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, constructed objects, and narrative-based work. Rooted in material process, his work considers memory, endurance, and the accumulation of lived experience, treating objects as carriers of history rather than representations alone.

He studied at the Alberta College of Art, graduating with honours in 1982. Over a career spanning more than four decades, Jacobson has developed a multidisciplinary practice that moves between visual art, literary work, and physical fabrication.

Jacobson has exhibited widely across Canada. His work is held in public and private collections, including the Government of France and the Royal Geographical Society. He has received numerous awards in both the visual and literary arts and has produced a substantial body of published work alongside his exhibition practice.

He lives and works in Toronto.
